Youths protest Eastleigh killings

An Eastleigh youth group held a demo on Friday protesting the killing of their members.

This is after they refused to cooperate with a new company they suspect to be a conduit for the al-shabaab.

The former street boys turned garbage collectors want the company expelled from the area.

They accused the local administration of taking bribes to force them to cooperate with the proprietors of the company only identified as Mohammed and Hussein.

Juma Abdul, the chairman  of the youth group, alleged that he was offered Sh100,000 to recruit the youths, but he refused.

He claimed the refusal had led to many deaths and injuries to the youths.

“Two young men  are admitted in Kenyatta National Hospital after they were ambushed and struck with knives, ” said Abdul.
