Yet another man exposed bragging about sex with minors in FB posts

What started as an isolated incident seems to have become a sickening trend on Facebook of men bragging about paedophilia.

Facebook users over the weekend outed yet another paedophile who bragged about his sexual affairs with minors during a chat with a friend.

Screenshots of the chat show Boaz Omariba Arasa boasting to his friend of his sexual affairs with high school minors aged between 13 and 15 years.

WIDELY SHARED

The screenshots have since been widely shared on social media. Nairobi News can not publish the screenshots due to their graphic nature.

In the chats, Boaz Omariba seemed unrepentant of his action and uncaring to the damage he was inflicting on the minors.

In one of the chats, his friend asks him on how he will feel if a man did the same to his sister.

He replies dismissively: “Hiyo ni shida yake (that’s her own problem)”.

A separate explanation by one of his friends that the account had been hacked by an ex-girlfriend who  stimulated the chats, and that the matter had been reported to the police, did not assuage furious social media who vented on the hashtag #arrestBoazOmaribaArasa.

This is the third such case of glorification of paedophilia on Facebook in less than a month.

In September, an employee of the Kenya Airports Authority got in trouble for posting an offensive message on his Facebook page that glorified sex with minors.

The said man who goes by the name Ken Wa Mwangi on his Facebook page and is allegedly an employee of Kenya Airports Authority later claimed he was joking when he posted the offensive post.

KAA later promised an investigation with the Directorate of Public Prosecutions directing the Inspector General of Police to look into the matter.

Two weeks ago, Calvin Mbane Alfayo, alias Mohammed Alfayo, posted a picture on himself with the underage girl at a bush. He said he defiled her in the bushes.

When he was arraigned in court last week and released on a bond of Sh100, 000 and surety of similar amount.

The case was fixed for hearing on November 21 but will be mentioned on October 25.
