Wyre bags two nominations in world music awards
Kenya’s top reggae and dancehall musician, Wyre, has bagged two nominations in the World Music awards.
Wyre, has been nominated in the Best Male Artiste and Best Live Act categories alongside other international acts like P’Diddy, Pharell Williams, Snoop Lion, and Africa’s greats D-Banj, P-Square and Jose Chameleone.
Speaking to Off the Hook on Thursday, Wyre was shocked to learn about his second nomination. “I was only aware of the Best Male Artiste nomination and thank you for letting me know about the second one,” he said.
Last year, Wyre won another international award, the International Reggae Awards in Kingston, Jamaica.
