Woman arrested for stabbing husband to death after quarreling over food
A woman has being held in police custody in Kiambu after she allegedly stabbed her husband to death over food.
According to police report, on that fateful night, Nazario Njuri, 40, came home drunk and demanded food from his 35 year old wife Margaret Karimi.
A quarrel ensued resulting to the death of the husband although the accused has claimed that the deceased fell on a knife that stabbed him on the thigh during the struggle.
After the incident, the wife rushed the man to a nearby clinic but they were referred to Kiambu hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
SHOT DEAD
His body was later transferred to the City Mortuary as the police commenced investigations.
In another incident in Nairobi’s Pipeline estate, a suspected gangster was shot dead by police officers on Wednesday night.
The 30-year-old man, who was said to have been in the company of five accomplices, engaged the officers in a shootout that resulted into his death.
The rest of the gangsters escaped towards Mukuru slums and the police recovered a homemade pistol and one cartridge of 9mm.
