Woman in court, denies plotting to kill her husband
A Nairobi woman accused of planning to kill her estranged husband was on Wednesday arraigned in court where she denied the charge.
Bilha Njoki was charged together with her sister Lucy Mwangi, her brother Peter Gakungi and a friend Jimmy Waititu.
They all denied the charge before chief magistrate Heston Nyaga at the Makadara law courts.
The four are accused of hiring hit men to kill a Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) employee, Mr Joseph Muraya, a resident of Buruburu phase 5.
They will remain in custody until Friday when Chief Magistrate Heston Nyaga will rule on their bond application.
Mr Muraya married Ms Njoki in 2007 and they have two children. However, they separated early last year and he has been staying with the children.
