This is why the IEBC website has been down
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission’s (IEBC) website was unavailable Friday evening and the whole of Saturday leaving Kenyans online to speculate.
The commission’s communication and public affairs manager Andrew Limo told Nairobi News that the site was undergoing maintenance.
“There is no issue with the site. We tested and found that we needed to increase the capacity more as all the results will be posted on the site,” Limo said on phone.
The site has for hours been unavailable as the commission expands its capacity to ensure that it will be able to accommodate all the users who will be visiting it for election results.
Shortly after Nairobi News enquired from Mr Limo, the commission tweeted that the maintenance will end at 5pm.
We are expanding the capacity of our website to enhance public access of polls results. Media houses will be given link by 5pm today

Iebc website has been down for some hours now. Is this deliberate to slow down register scrutiny?

Ezra, please also address the issue of why the IEBC website is down for the second day running. Transparency is key.
