Why alcohol makes men unfaithful

While testing how alcohol affects relationships, researchers from Oregon University found that males tended to stray more while females sought the physical company of their partners.

They found that alcohol loosens the male brain making it more likely to mess around.

It, however, made women more anxious and desirous thus the urge to snuggle more.

Men on the other hand showed less anxiety making them more likely to run after new females and away from the old ones.

They also found that the frequency of drinking by both sexes is affected by how much their friends and lovers drink.

The scientists believe that understanding and separating the biological effects of alcohol from cultural ones could lead to better treatment of drinking problems as well as interpersonal conflicts that rise from drinking.
