Westgate looting suspect in court
A driver has been charged with stealing two pairs of shoes valued at Sh10, 200 from a shop at Westgate shopping mall.
Mr Patrick Mwangangi appeared before Kibera acting senior principal magistrate Lucas Onyina on Thursday and denied the charge.
According to prosecution, he committed the theft on October 2 when shop owners were allowed by security agents to access the building following a terror attack by Al Shabaab militants.
He reportedly stole the shoes belonging to Deacons Kenya limited.
The accused was released on a Sh 20, 000 bond with a surety of similar amount.
Hearing is set for November 28.
