Wanyama heads to Tanzania on holiday with his ‘boys’
Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama is in Tanzania for holiday.
Nairobi News understands the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder flew to Dar es Salaam together with close associates, including his two brothers, on Monday morning.
“It is an outing that was planned way before the (English Premier League) season ended. The intention is for him to cool off after what has been a grueling campaign both at his club and with the national team.”
Wanyama, believed to take home an estimated net salary of about Sh20 million a month, is expected to camp in Tanzania for about a week.
He has lined up several visits to game parks and other tourist attraction. Last year, he spent his holiday in Maasai Mara with his family.
He is expected to resume pre-season training in the first week of July.
Other big names already in Tanzania for holiday are former England captain David Beckham and Liverpool centre back Mamadou Sakho (who played on loan at Crystal Palace last season).
