Wanyama delighted to finally score for Spurs – VIDEO
Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama admits he was excited to score against Hull City on Wednesday night.
The Tottenham Spurs midfielder scored the third goal in his team’s 3-0 English Premier League victory over the SportPesa sponsored league side at White Hart Lane.
The strike came as a relief to the player after he had failed to convert clear cut chances in previous games against Manchester United and Swansea.
Speaking after the game, Wanyama also revealed a number of technical bench officials had been taunting him following the missed chances.
A visibly excited Wanyama said: “I have been having a tough week. My chance against Swansea on Saturday and the chance at United. The staff have been giving me stick, they’ve been telling me there is no point in going to the goal because I keep on passing to the keeper.”
