Wanga back home on compassionate leave
Kenyan international striker Allan Wanga has been given compassionate leave by his club Azam of Tanzania to allow him attend to pressing matters back home.
Wanga who signed a lucrative deal with Tanzanian moneybags last month, jetted back home on Friday evening from the Tanzanian capital to spend time with an ailing family member.
Wanga only linked up with the squad on Monday as the team began preparations for the start of the Vodacom league in a week’s time.

“I have been offered some time off to attend to a family member who is unwell. My club has been very helpful to me and I cannot wait to get back on the pitch and repay them in style,” Wanga said.
Meanwhile, the former AFC Leopards player, who has scored and won in both the Cecafa Senior and Club Championship in the past two years, predicted a tough contest in Sunday’s final of the Cecafa Club Championship between Gor Mahia and Azam.
“Any of these teams can win the Cup. The match will be decided by a moment of brilliance or error, We are talking about two quality teams here,” Wanga said.
