Waititu did this for Thika residents and Facebook erupted

Facebook has been heartened with photos of aspiring Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu supervising the clearing of a road reserve near Blue Post Hotel.

The photos show Waititu signaling the driver of a road grader to clear vegetation in a parcel of land said to be a road reserve.

Other photos show a newly paved road being used to divert Thika’s outbound traffic.

Waititu’s gesture on clearing the road reserve has been hailed as a solution to the perennial slow traffic at the Blue Post area owing to the narrow road.

Waititu personally supervised the clearing of the road reserve, together with Thika Town MP Alice Nganga and in hours, traffic was flowing smoothly to and from Thika town.

Here are some of the praises heaped on the legislator who won the Kiambu county Jubilee Party gubernatorial nominations with a landslide.

Users commented on the photos lauding the legislator’s move to ease traffic.

This even as some claimed the land was private property and constructing a road on it is unlawful.
