Shock and grief engulfed a village in Nakuru County after a man killed his friend over a Sh100 debt.

The assailant, Kipkemoi Towett, 22, used a bow and arrow to kill Mr Jackson Chemosi, 40, at Ndashatait village in Elburgon.

Confirming the incident, Kapcholola assistant chief Kenneth Rotich said the two had a confrontation over payment of the Sh100 before the assailant went berserk and shot his friend in the head using an arrow.

“Mr Towett visited the deceased at his farm in Ndashatait village in Mariashoni Ward in Elburgon, demanding for the payment of the debt leading to a confrontation that became fatal, “said Mr Rotich.

A witness revealed to the Nation that after the exchange of words, Mr Towett went back to his home and came with a bow and arrow, which he used to kill Mr Chemosi.

“The deceased died instantly following the assault,”said the neighbour Ms Caroline Chebet.
