Victoria Kimani: Nope! I’m not part of Mr and Miss Nigeria
Nigeria-based Kenyan songbird Victoria Kimani has lashed out at promoters in the West African nation for the unauthorised of her name to promote an upcoming event.
Victoria has termed as “misleading” information on fake posters on circulation to the effect that she will be one of the performers at the Mr and Miss Nigeria International 2015 awards due on Sunday night in Lagos.
“Been seeing this flyer going around for some reason… and I don’t like for my fans to be misled (sic)… I will NOT be performing at this Event… won’t even be in the country,” Victoria said in Instagram message that displayed the poster in question.
Victoria, who signed up with Nigerian music label Chocolate City in 2012, recently made headlines with her sharp criticism of Kenyans for being unsupportive when it comes to promoting music and the arts.
