Vehicle rams herd of cattle killing nine on the spot – VIDEO
A man is nursing serious injuries after his car rammed into a herd of cattle killing 9 on the spot along the Ruiru Kiambu road.
The driver, who has been identified as Peter Mwangi Mwaura, is receiving treatment at Kiambu Hospital for head and chest injuries.
The livestock are believed to be part of a herd owned by Masai herders who have been traversing the expansive Ruiru area in search of pasture and water.
The vehicle involved has been written off following the accident. Herders have been warned against grazing their cattle at night and have been asked to be extra cautious while on the road. The animal carcasses were taken to Ruiru for disposal.
