Two students of Catholic University have been arrested for attempting to bribe the school’s registrar to facilitate their graduation.

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), which made the arrests, named the two as Jecinta Mugure and Joan Kariuki.

EACC said the two were taken to the Milimani anti-corruption court, and charged on four counts for corruptly “offering a benefit C/S 39 (3) (a)  ARW. S. 48 (1) ACECA 3 of 2003,” to which they pleaded not guilty.

The students were given cash bail of Sh150,000 each or a bond of Sh300,00 each plus a surety of same amount. The case will be mentioned on November 28.
