‘Vampire’ mum faces murder charges
The 20-year-old woman who shocked the nation following allegations that she killed her son and fed on his intestines, before killing her neighbors’ two children was, presented before the Makadara Law Courts Wednesday.
Catherine Muthoni’s case, however, did not take off as she looked ill and mentally disturbed, and the magistrate asked that she undergoes a medical examination first.

The investigating officer has also asked for 10 more days to conclude investigations on the case.
Catherine was arrested Tuesday after she presented herself at the Korogocho area chief’s office moments after she was accused of committing the bizarre crime.
The mother of the two children, Nelius Muthoni, who says she has been good friends with the suspect, is still nursing a cesarean section wound and could not defend her children. The case will now be mentioned on February 23.
