Usher paid ex-lover Sh110m after infecting her with genital herpes – reports
American musician icon Usher was allegedly embroiled in a million-dollar lawsuit after infecting an ex-lover with genital herpes.
The singer, real name Usher Raymond IV, paid out Sh110 million ($1.1 million) to the celebrity stylist after infecting her with the STD, according to court documents obtained by Radar Online.
The explosive documents shows that the singer, 38, knew he had the incurable disease before repeatedly having unprotected sex with the woman – who says her “body has been ruined.”
There’s no cure for the infection and the complainant states that the singer did not tell her about his previous diagnosis before having unprotected sex in 2012.
GREENISH DISCHARGE
A “greenish discharge” was said to have once oozed from the performer’s private parts, but he otherwise had no signs of the virus and was labeled an “asymptomatic carrier” by doctors.
After initially admitting his concerns to his partner, Usher then allegedly convinced her that he was all clear – and they continued to engage in unprotected sex.
“Believing Raymond’s statements that it had been nothing and cleared up, [she] continued her relationship,” a lawyer for the victim wrote in a legal complaint for damages.
Three weeks later, the victim was “feeling very sick” and woke up with a “fever of 100 degrees, chills, headache, and aches and pains.”
She “also developed lesions and blisters in her private parts” and was diagnosed with herpes.
‘FIGURE THINGS OUT’
The court documents claim that after the unnamed woman realised she had the virus, Usher was “very apologetic and promised to figure things out”.
The lawsuit accuses Usher of “consciously and purposefully” withholding his herpes diagnosis from the stylist and continuing to have unprotected sex with her.
In California, where Usher lives, it is illegal to “knowingly or recklessly transmit a sexually transmitted disease (STD).”
The Confessions singer, estimated to be worth $180 million, knew he had the disease before repeatedly romping with the woman, the explosive documents show.
The woman also says she had “ suffered severe emotional distress and has been extremely depressed … knowing there is no cure.”
The 38-year-old R&B star first contracted the illness in 2009 or 2010 when he was finalising his divorce to Tameka Foster who accused him of cheating.
Usher is now married to his current wife, and former executive chef on The Cosby Show, Grace Miguel who he wed in 2015.
The Grammy-winning artist, who has sold more than 75 million records worldwide, has yet to comment on the shocking revelations.
