University student’s suspected murderer detained for two weeks – VIDEO


Naftali Kinuthia, the man facing charges of murdering Ivy Wangechi has been detained for 14 more days to allow police record witness statements.

The suspect appeared on Monday before Eldoret Senior Resident Magistrate Nicodemus Moseti, who was sitting in for High Court judges on recess.

Mr Kinuthia will be held at the Naiberi Police Station pending completion of the police investigations.

He was discharged from the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital on Friday evening.

Mr Kinuthia, who brutally attacked Ms Wangechi last Tuesday morning killing her in front of the hospital, spent the weekend at an undisclosed location.
