Umoinner denies link to illuminati
Umoja.
Umoinner Sacco has refuted claims that its members belong to illuminati.
It said there was no truth to the rumours that have been making rounds on the social media since one of their buses was involved in an accident with a passenger train at Mutindwa.
Illuminati is a cult whose membership is believed to include powerful people in the society.
They are said to owe their influence and wealth to the devil in whom they are said to worship.
The Facebook and Twitter updates alleged that the accident which killed 12 people when the driver defied orders to stop might have been an act of sacrifice.
The Sacco however said its members were believers and practised Christianity.
“We have been supporting church activities and the churches we have supported really appreciate our work. We are not illuminati. We are young people determined to make a decent living,” said the Sacco treasurer Mr John Wanyeri.
