Uhuru puts teachers pay rise in doubt, says its unsustainable
President Uhuru Kenyatta has said the teachers’ demands over pay are unsustainable.
The President finally broke his silence over the matter, sayong the demands were “uneconomically unsustainable” and would trigger fresh pay rise demands from the civil service.
He was speaking at State House, Nairobi, after signing five Bills into law, including the Company Act and the Special Economic Zones Act.
