How Uhuru, Margaret welcomed grandchild at Aga Khan Hospital
President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta were at Aga Khan Hospital in the anxious moments before the arrival of their grandchild.
The President’s son Jomo and his wife Fiona welcomed their baby girl on Sunday evening at Aga Khan Hospital.
An excited Uhuru and Margaret later posed for photos with doctors and midwives who ensured the safe delivery of Baby Wanjiru at the facility.
The photo shared online had the excited grandmother Margaret attempting to flash a peace sign.
Jomo and Fiona had their traditional wedding late last year and were to have a white wedding this year.
The ceremony was held in November 2016 and since then, not much has been heard of two until last week when they were spotted at a public event.
A heavily pregnant Fiona was seen in the company of her mother in-law and husband and days later she delivered a baby girl.
Their relationship became public after an invitation card to the Itara ceremony at the President’s Ichaweri home in Gatundu went viral online.
