Uhuru rekindles bromance with Babu Owino

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino could not hide his excitement after receiving public recognition from President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The MP, who is currently appealing a court decision that nullified his election after a successful petition by Jubilee aspirant, was all smiles as President Kenyatta referred to him as his good friend.

“Hata Babu Owino ambaye amekaa hapa sio adui yangu, ni rafiki yangu,” said the President.

Babu has in the past tried to reach out to the President including their recent unity handshake on the floor of parliament during the 2018 State of the Nation Address.

CHANGE NAIROBI

The President urged for unity and declared war on corrupt officials during his Wednesday issuance of 50,000 title deeds to Eastlands residents at Jacaranda grounds.

President Kenyatta warned Nairobi County tenderprenuers stating that he would closely work with Governor Mike Sonko to change the city.

He revealed the plans to start working on Nairobi roads stating that Sh4 billion had been set aside to ensure all roads in the city are in good condition.

“Those who have been given those contracts we are watching you closely. Everyone must deliver and all public funds shall be used for the intended purpose,” said the president.
