Ugandan village elder chuckles social media with ‘woman’ cow letter

An old age “animal movement permit” written by a Ugandan village elder has left sections of social media in stitches for the broken English used.

The permit in question was prepared some 26 years ago by then LC (Local Council) chairman 1 Aurelio Drazelega.

As is required by law, this permit was enable to enable one “Aduato son of Eustakio” to ferry two of his animals to a nearby market.

In his interesting description contained in the two paragraph permit, the village elder describes one of the two animals as a “mother cow” and the other as the “daughter cow.”

In the next paragraph, Drazelega who is in charge of Elegu village describes the “mother cow” as bearing “black – black” and “white – white” colours, whilst the “daughter cow” bears “sim-sim flower” colours (probably brown).

He then signs off the permit with a terse “Don’t disturb warning” – meant probably for to whom it may concern.
