Ugandan Speaker discharged from Aga Khan Hospital
The Speaker of Uganda’s National Assembly, Rebecca Kadaga, has been discharged from Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi.
News of Kadaga’s discharge have been confirmed by her principal press secretary, Sam Obbo
“Yes, that is correct, she is back from the hospital,” Sam Obbo said.
Considered third in command in her country’s political hierarchy, Kadaga has been unwell since March 21.
She was initially admitted at a Kampala hospital and treated for jetlag and fatigue before being transferred to Nairobi when her condition reportedly worsened.
Uganda President Yoweri Museveni visited her during her hospitalization at Aga Khan Hospital.
Ms Kadaga has meanwhile thanked Ugandans for all the support they accorded to her.
