Uber Kenya rewards its best drivers in Nairobi

Uber Kenya celebrated its best driver-partners on Thursday as part of its annual Driver Appreciation Day activities.

The event at the Kenya Harlequins grounds was attended by Uber driver-partners in Nairobi.

“Driver Appreciation Day is about pausing in order to celebrate together all that we have achieved as well as recognizing the commitment and contribution of driver-partners,” said Uber Kenya’s operations lead Kagure Wamunyu.

“We think we’re part of a pretty exciting change at the moment and Uber’s technology makes Kenyans’ lives easier and simpler. The way people think about transportation and are moving around their cities is changing, and Uber is a big part of that change. We remain excited about the endless opportunities in Kenya. There is so much potential in this country,” she said.

The highlight of the day was the announcement of the driver-partners who won various prizes.

Three lucky winners, John Migwi, Harrison Gachukia and Nelson Ndungu, saw their bank accounts loaded with Sh100,000 each from a raffle draw cast during the luncheon courtesy of Sidian Bank.
