Two suspects linked to gruesome murder of Buruburu girl arrested
Police on Friday arrested two suspects who they believe are behind the gruesome murder of a 20-year-old girl in Buruburu estate, Nairobi.
According to police, the two, Dominic Okoth and Simon Gitau, were arrested in possession of two mobile phones that had been reportedly stolen from the deceased girl on the fateful night.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said the girl was found stabbed on the neck on Friday.
“The girl was found stabbed at the neck on that deadly night and two of her phones taken. The suspects; Dominic Okoth and Simon Gitau were found in possession of her phones,” reads part of the tweet.

DCI further added that a forensic analysis is scheduled to be conducted on the mobile phones and other items found at the scene of crime, as further investigations continue.
“We have launched further investigations, including carrying out a Forensic Analysis of the phones and other items found at the scene of crime to establish the truth,” said DCI.

The two suspects are expected to be arraigned in Nairobi on Monday.
