Local lovers of cocktails can look forward to Nairobi Tune Hotel’s launch a new line of local cocktails.

The resident mixologists are looking to shake up the way cocktails are served in the capital city and are hoping to satisfy lovers of cocktails.

On Thursday night, the mixologist duo of Humphrey and Kevin gave a hint of what is store for cocktail lovers during a invite-only media event.

The two showed how cocktails are made with their spirited creations which are perhaps more than experimentation.

The duo have more than 13 years of experience in mixing cocktails between them.

TYPES OF COCKTAILS

They mixed concoctions and used infusions to flavor the alcohol by infusing gin and other distilled alcohol with herbs such as nuts, basil and even popcorns.

Both said they like to use a variety of simple syrups made with agave, brown sugar or honey. Each lends its unique flavor to the cocktail.

According to the mixologists, nearly any flavorful food can be used to infuse an alcohol, citing apples, jalapeno peppers, coffee beans or spices as some of their favorites.

They both mixed different types of cocktails and also invited people to try their own mix with the winner having his or her drink served in the bar for a week.
