Nairobi businessman kills wife and turns gun on self

A businessman in Nairobi shot his wife dead on Tuesday night before turning the gun on himself in Tena estate.

Police suspect the incident happened Tuesday around 10 pm.

The couple’s daughter told police that they woke up Wednesday but they did not see their parents.

Later in the day they realised that the family car was still in the parking area.

They then checked the bedroom door and found it had been locked from inside. Police forced the door open and found the two bodies lying in a pool of blood on the floor.

The man had the pistol still held in his hand.

The businessman, a licensed firearm holder, was on Tuesday evening seen at his balcony chewing miraa.

A neighbour on the ground floor has told police that she had heard some commotion from the house followed by a loud bang around 10 pm on Tuesday night.

The children aged 13 and 3 have however said they did not hear anything .

Buruburu OCPD Richard Kerich and his officers visited the scene.
