Named: City schools on terror watch

Police have launched a dramatic new city-wide crackdown on terrorism.

They have already been issued with orders to storm 18 schools and seize teaching materials — to see if they are teaching their students to become terrorists.

In addition, security experts are investigating 12 businesses they suspect might be owned by Al-Shabaab financiers and sympathisers.

The two-pronged attack on extremism comes as shops, hotels, public places and even State House were put on high alert to guard against terrorist attacks.
