Teenager flees home over lost Sh14,000

A family is living in distress after their teenage daughter who was waiting to join high school, fled from home.
Ms Agnes Lunyolo said her daughter disappeared on the night of January 8 after allegedly losing Sh14, 000 belonging to a relative.
The mother of two who lives in Gikomba area said efforts to trace her 14-year-old daughter have not borne fruit.
She said her daughter who sat her KCPE last year at Islamia Primary school in Kamukunji ran away when she found the money she had kept for a relative missing.
“As we were discussing with the relative on phone over the lost cash, she just walked out of the house and disappeared,” said a worried Ms Lunyolo.
The woman has already reported the matter to the police while relatives and friends have also been assisting in tracing her daughter.
“I am worried that almost a week has passed and she has not yet resurfaced, I appeal to her to come back home,” she said on Sunday.
