I’m pretty sure we all have that one outfit in our closets that we usually ignore and have pushed to the back of our closets without realizing how much potential it actually has. Well for me, this crop set was that outfit.

I fell in love with this crop set first because of its color. I mean, how cool is this yellow? Yellow might be a bit bold or bright for some of you but trust me, you don’t know what you’re missing out on.

Crop sets are effortlessly timeless and although they just got back on trend recently, they’re not going away anytime soon. The thing that I love most about them is that you actually have two pieces of separate clothing at the price of one. Take an example of this particular one which was Sh 2500, which is reasonable, if you ask me. You can mix and match them with other items in your closet as I’m just about to show you.

So apart from wearing the crop set in its original form, I ditched the skirt and substituted it with maroon high waist pants. You can easily transition with this outfit from day to night and I thought the pants were a more fun and edgy option as compared to the skirt that was a bit more formal.

I then mixed it up a little and substituted the original crop top with another crop top of a different color. I personally love white and I felt that it blended in well with the yellow. You can however wear a more formal top or even a peplum synched at the waist with a belt.

I absolutely love these shoes that i got for just Sh 400 (How great is that?!) at a little thrift place known as Kware, for those who live in Rongai, I’m pretty sure you’re familiar with it.

All the pieces from this shoot are from Keeky’s Collection. I love love their stuff because they’re first and foremost, relatively cheap and above all, unique. I guarantee you that you will not walk in town and bump into someone wearing the same exact thing as the stuff they have at Keeky’s collection.
