Storing free laptops in schools a bad idea

After security concerns were raised over the free laptops expected to be used by pupils starting next year, a technocrat at the Ministry of Education thinks the best solution to the problem is to store them at schools.

This is a bad idea considering the poor security at most of our primary schools.

Most of them are guarded by watchmen employed and poorly paid by the board of governors.

With their bows and arrows, they are ill equipped to deal with today’s criminals who have access to weapons far more destructive and effective than the police.

It therefore does not take a genius to figure out that putting all the laptops in one central place is enticing the criminals who I guess had already started plotting stealing them one by one from pupils.
