Stage set for KPL Fans’ Fun Day

By KERUBO MOMANYI December 11th, 2014 1 min read

The inaugural KPL Fans’ Fun Day will take place on Saturday at the City Stadium. This event is expected to bring together about 5,000 football fans affiliated to the 16 Kenyan Premier League teams, who will participate in various competitions, including seven-a-side football matches, spot-kicks (penalties) tug-of-war and sprints.

Twelve teams have confirmed participation and winners will be awarded with cash prizes, trophies and other gift tokens.

“This event aims to bring together our supporters and their families to have fun, bond even as we address some of the challenges that tend to peg back the competition, especially hooliganism. It will be a great day for Kenyan Premier League fans,” the event co-ordinator, Jeff Kinyanjui, said.
