Staff get day off during Obama visit

Staff working for Kenyan-based American companies have been given a day off on Friday when President Barack Obama is expected to jet into the country.

Most multinational corporations and international non-governmental organizations have also advised their staff to consider working from home on Friday if they use routes that could be affected by president Obama’s movements.

It will, however, be a normal working day for Kenyan workers in both the private and public sectors despite the massive disruption of traffic that is expected in Nairobi during the US president’s visit.
