Volleyball queen Wacu quits dating scene – VIDEO
Kenyan volleyball sensation Jane Wacu has quit the dating scene.
The 30 year-old Kenya Prisons star has announced her engagement to a man who remains a mystery, for now.
The Malkia Strikers setter made the revelation in an exclusive interview with Michezao Afrika, a sports website.
She also opened up to consistent speculation that she is a lady who does not quite fancy dating men.
She said: “At times, there is some hairstyle you can have and people make their own varied judgement. There are those who judge a book by its cover, with some saying ‘this lady dresses like a tomboy, her hairstyle is like that of someone who doesn’t fancy men’ but I know myself.”
“Others will say.. ‘it is unusual for someone at my age not to have a baby, she doesn’t even have a boyfriend’, but now I have a surprise for all of them because now at least I am engaged, there is a boy in my life, I wont mention his name and I will only introduce him to the public when he marries me (smiles)”.
Wacu is one of the most popular Kenyan volleyball stars. She has enjoyed a highly chequered career as a setter for both Kenya Prisons and the national women volleyball team, in which she has won several medals and titles on the national and international level.
