StarTimes lands Bundesliga deal

Pay Tv company StarTimes has acquired the exclusive rights to air live all matches of the German top flight league the Bundesliga for the next five season.

The Chinese based firm confirmed this development on Saturday in a paid up advertisement in the mainstream Kenyan media.

This development could be seen as a big coup for StarTimes in the Kenyan market, as the rights to the Bundesliga games have for the past three season been a preserve of a rival Pay Tv channel SuperSport.

EXCITING SPORTS ACTION

“We are keen to show more exciting sporting action to Kenyans this season and the Bundesliga tops the charts. Kenyans can now watch the likes of Arjen Robben, Frank Ribery and Robert Lewandoski live on StarTimes each week for only Sh 1,500 a month,” StarTimes PRO Alex Mwaura told Nairobi News.

StarTimes also recently signed a contract to beam live friendly matches involving all the national football teams, and will also air the Uefa Champions League.
