Stark difference between Asante Kotoko’s team bus and the one they used in Nairobi

It is emerging that top Ghanaian club Asante Kotoko had a case after all regarding what they termed as a substandard bus which they were offered to use during their stay in Nairobi this week.

Prior to Saturday’s match against Kariobangi Sharks in a Caf Confederations Cup first round tie, the visiting team’s management lamented over the said bus and a poor training ground they were made to use.

BARREN DRAW

Kotoko, who settled for a barren draw with Sharks on Saturday afternoon at Kasarani, have been in Nairobi since Wednesday and trained for the fixture at Nairobi’s Goan Institute.

“The pitch is extremely poor. I wish we could get a better solution,” Kotoko coach Charles Akunnor told Nairobi News prior to the match.

But perhaps their complaints were not because these amenities are particularly bad, but due to the fact that the 24-time Ghanaian giants are used to better facilities back home. Far better.

TEAM BUS

Nairobi News has obtained photos and pictures of the team bus the Ghanaian team uses while at home, alongside those of the team’s training ground.

So you can compare the two, and make of it what you can.

Meanwhile, the two teams will clash again next weekend in Ghana with a ticket to the next round of the tournament up for grabs.
