Nakumatt FC has completed the signings of AFC Leopards duo Martin Imbalambala and custodian Wycliffe Kasaya, while also roping in free agent Donald Mosoti as they continue with their ambitious rebuilding exercise.

According to club secretary, Albert Wesonga, the high profile signings are meant to help them achieve their vision.

The team competes in the Football Kenya Premier League and are currently placed eighth on 22 points, 12 shy of leaders Kakamega Homeboyz.

Besides the trio, the Nakumatt, buoyed by a massive financial war chest from sponsors Nakumatt Holdings Limited, are also said to be chasing after 2013 Most Valuable Player, Jacob Keli, and midfielder Bernard Mang’oli, both of AFC Leopards.

Keli, Kasaya and Mang’oli have featured prominently for Ingwe this term, but the financially crippled Leopards are likely to lose many of their key players.

QUALITY PLAYERS

“I can confirm that we have signed the three. They are all players of good quality. Getting players who are still attached is quite expensive because you will be told to buy them,” Wesonga said.

According to Wesonga, Kasaya and Imbalambala have penned one year deals, while, the lanky Mosoti, who was deemed surplus to requirements at Ruaraka, has inked a two-year deal.

For Mosoti, playing at Nakumatt, will grant him the platform to reinvent himself after an unsuccessful stints with Simba in Tanzania and Tusker.

Kenya Commercial Bank have also landed the signature of two players in Athman Buki formerly of Tusker and Elly Asieche from Sofapaka.

Coach Rishadi Shedu is beefing up his squad after a dismal first leg performance. Other new recruits are Andrew Kulecho (Kakamega Homeboyz) and George Banda from Tanzanian giants Yanga .
