New coach Migne calls up fresh faces to Harambee Stars camp

Newly appointed Harambee Stars coach Sebastian Migne has rewarded several young players who are enjoying a good form in the Kenya Premier League with call ups to the national team.

Among the new call ups, ahead of the French trainer’s debut assignment, is Nzoia Sugar’s Elvis Rupia, who currently tops the scorers chart in the league.

Others are Pistone Mutamba and Marvin Onyango who have impressed for Wazito and AFC Leopards respectively as well as St Anthony High School defender Moses Mudavadi.

The squad will be assessed over two sessions during a one-day training camp on May 15, and will eventually be boosted by foreign based players ahead of three friendly matches against yet to be determined opposition later in May.

Stars are preparing to face Ghana in a crucial 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualification match against Ghana in September.

Mathare United duo of Johnstone Omurwa and Cliff Nyakeya have also been called up, as well as former Gor Mahia pair of Eric Ouma and Musa Mohammed, who are both unattached after brief stints in Albania at FK Tirana.
