Leopards seek to push Confed Cup tie to Sunday

AFC Leopards now want their CAF Confederation Cup match against South African opponents Supersport FC to be pushed to Sunday.

Leopards failed to depart on Thursday morning following delays in the processing of the team’s travel visas by the South African embassy in Nairobi.

The team was scheduled to play the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup tie on Saturday in Pretoria.

A statement posted on Thursday on Kenya Premier League’s official website said Leopards will request Supersport FC to push back the match by a day following hitches in their travel plans.

Club officials say they applied for the visas last week.
