Harambee Stars coach Migne finally departs for India
Harambee Stars coach Sebastien Migne has finally departed for India to take charge of the Kenyan national team at the Hero International Cup.
According to Football Kenya Federation (FKF), Migne who was left behind when the team flew off to Asia on Wednesday, left Nairobi for Mumbai on Friday.
It is reported the Frenchman faced challenges processing his Visas, an anomaly that has since been sorted out.
It is not clear, however, if the French coach who left Nairobi alongside his assistant Nicolas Bourriquet, Goalkeeper trainer Guilaune Coffey and Osteopath Ludovic Breul, will make it in time for Kenya’s opening game of the tournament against New Zealand on Saturday.
Also travelling with Migne was Thika United defender Dennis Odhiambo, who is making a return to the national team after two years in the cold, and Vihiga United’s Bernard Ochieng.

The team left the country on Wednesday morning without coach Migne, who at the time was said to be unhappy with the unavailability of key players in the team for the India tour.
Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards withdrew eight players from the travelling party at the last minute leaving Migne with largely depleted squad for the trip.
Mathare United coach Francis Kimanzi has been holding brief of the team in India in Migne’s absence.
Kenya will play New Zealand on Saturday, before taking on the hosts on Monday. They will then wind up their fixtures with a match against Chinese Taipei next Friday.
The top two sides in the round-robin four-team competition will play in the final of the tournament set for June 10.
