Ambani hits out at Leopards for rampant hiring and firing

Former Kenya international Boniface Ambani has hit out at AFC Leopards management over their “hiring and firing” culture.

Ambani, who incidentally is an employee of the club, reacted angrily in the wake of the latest dismissals at the club, which affected team manager Tony Lidonde and goalkeeper trainer Alex Mwangi.

Lidonde and Ambani join a list of several causalities who have lost their jobs for one reason or another, in the current Leopards set up led by laid back club chairman Dan Mule.

“(They have been) shown the door… hiring and firing will never be the solution… are they the cause of poor results at the den?” Ambani, the club’s junior team coach posed.

Besides Lidonde and Ambani, this season alone coaches Stewart Hall  and Dorian Marin have already come and gone.

All this as the popular club struggles in the current SportPesa Premier League campaign. The team is currently placed 13th in the 18 team standings, and is, worryingly facing the prospects of yet again fighting for survival as opposed to challenging for the league title.
