SportPesa out to expand its presence in the EPL with Everton deal

Giant gaming firm SportPesa are eyeing a sponsorship deal with yet another English Premier League side, Everton FC.

This was revealed by the firm’s chief executive Ronald Karauri, during an exclusive interview with the Sunday Nation.

“Our UK office have been in talks with several EPL teams not only Everton. SportPesa UK has been very successful and the marketing team there are constantly looking for every opportunity to make the brand an even bigger success in that crowded market,” Mr Karauri said.

SportPesa already have a shirt sponsorship arrangement with Hull City worth about Sh300 million a year.

The company has separate financial partnerships with Arsenal and Southampton in addition to several other multi-billion shillings sponsorship with the Kenya Rugby Union, Football Kenya Federation, Kenya Premier League Limited, AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia.

Karauri also announced that his firm plans to extend its business to Tanzania and South Africa in the coming weeks.
