Speaker Muturi’s bodyguards kill thug robbing a pedestrian

Police officers attached to National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi on Sunday shot dead a suspected gangster and seized a pistol.

The Speaker was not in the vehicle during the incident.

The two police constables were driving one of the Speaker’s official cars along Westlands road in Nairobi when they saw three armed men on a motorcycle robbing a pedestrian.

The policemen stopped and shot at the thugs, killing one on the spot while the other two escaped.

One of the suspects shot at the officers while fleeing and shattered the rear windscreen of the Speaker’s car.

They found an Ekol P29 pistol loaded with four rounds of ammunition.

The Mercedes Benz registration number GK A133R was later driven to Parklands Police Station…
