Sonko’s big surprise for Nairobi KCPE candidates who score 400 marks


Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on Friday pledged to sponsor all Nairobi KCPE candidates who score 400 marks and above in the national examinations.

He made the pledge on Friday while distributing of success cards to candidates in Nairobi county.

“In case you score 400 marks and above Nairobi County Government will cater for your secondary school education, so it’s now up-to you to make your parents and teachers proud,” said Sonko after visiting one of the city schools.

Sonko explained that the sponsorship is part of his commitment to improve the quality of education in the city.

The Governor is expected to visit over 200 public primary schools in the County distributing geometrical sets and success cards to candidates.

Education was part of his  pledges when he assumed office by promising to make it accessible to all.

The county government in partnership with Brookside is also implementing the free milk project to Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) children.
