This is how Sonko, Sakaja, KJ celebrated their victory – VIDEO

Senator Mike Sonko was evidently overcome by emotions after clinching the Jubilee Party’s ticket for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat on Thursday night.

So match so that he went down on his knees and sang a popular praise gospel hymn.

In video that has emerged on social media, Sonko alongside Johnson Sakaja, who won Jubilee Party’s Senatorial nomination for Nairobi are seen singing the hymn in thanksgiving for their victory.

Also in the video is comedian John Kiarie aka KJ, who triumphed in the Dagoretti South Parliamentary nominations.

Sonko thrashed his nearest challenger Peter Kenneth, garnering 138,185 votes against the latter’s 62,504 votes. The other contestant, Bishop Margaret Wanjiru, who was arrested and charged with malicious damage to property and creating disturbance, polled 7,654 votes.

Sonko’s victory now paves way for him to face off with ODM’s Evans Kidero and Miguna Miguna in the August 8 polls.
