Sonko plays politics with key matters, say TNA reps

Senator Mike Sonko’s TNA party has sharply criticised the way he conducts business in the city and his handling of conflicts.

In a statement issued by TNA leader in the County Assembly Abdi Guyo, members accused Mr Sonko of playing politics with key matters affecting county residents.

“Sonko is disruptive and we will not allow him to continue like this. We do not need his theatrics. All we want is progressive leadership and not actions that generate negative energy,” he said.

Undermine

The statement gives credence to accusations which have been coming from County Hall that the Senator was out to undermine the work of Governor Evans Kidero so he could capitalise on that during 2017 polls.

Mr Sonko is said to be planning to seek the nod from city electorate to be their governor.

The statement was in connection with Mr Sonko’s stand on the increased parking fee contained in the Finance Act of 2013.

Mr Sonko said he was not consulted when the Act was being put together.
