Sonko offers Sh300k reward for missing Dandora activist

Governor Mike Sonko has offered a Sh300, 000 reward for information on missing human rights activist Caroline Mwatha.

The governor urged anybody with information to contact the Directorate of Criminal Investigations offices or the nearest police station.

The case was first reported at Dandora police station (OB 65/08/02/19) but is now being handled by Buru Buru police Station.

On Monday, members of Dandora Justice Center in partnership with other human rights groups in Nairobi organized a vigil for Caroline.

Mwatha has been documenting cases of enforced disappearance and police extrajudicial killings in Dandora.

The police have extended her search to water bodies and forests in Nairobi and its vicinity after family members visited Hospitals and mortuaries in the city
