By BRIAN YONGA February 28th, 2014 1 min read

Former Kenyan Premier League champions Sofapaka will be looking to return to the top of the table when they host newcomers Top Fry tomorrow.

Batoto ba Mungu are hoping to return to their winning ways, following their upset by Sony Sugar last week after an impressive start this season when they thrashed Muhoroni Youth 5-1 away.

Coach Sam Timbe is confident his charges will bounce back and regain the top spot.

“Last week, we were unlucky not to get anything but I am confident we would bag maximum points this weekend,” said Timbe.

On the other hand, Top Fry are already finding the going tough during their debut season after two loses so far. They are 15th and only goal difference separates them from the bottom club Muhoroni Youth.

This game was initially planned for Sunday but was brought forward because Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos will host the African Women Championship qualifier between Kenya and Rwanda on that day.

Sofapaka have four points, and a win will take them to the top of the league table with seven points for some hours before the Sunday matches are played.

In another fixture on Saturday, Thika United can also move to the top if they win away to Western Stima in Mumias while Bandari will take on Mathare United at the Mbaraki Stadium.

On Sunday Sony Sugar host Chemelil Sugar. Sony coach Zedekiah Otieno’s team is in command of the league with six points, level with Gor Mahia who have an inferior goal difference.  A win will see Zico’s men move to nine points, three more than Gor.
